Trinity Home Care

Personal Care at Home in Greenville & Spartanburg, SC

Personal care is hands-on help with the activities of daily living: bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming, eating and moving safely around the home. It is the care most families find hardest to give a parent themselves, and the care where dignity and safety matter most. At Trinity Home Care it is planned by a registered nurse and delivered by caregivers trained in safe transfers, skin care and fall prevention.

Nurse-planned, caregiver-delivered

Before care begins, our registered nurse assesses mobility, skin, nutrition, medications and the home itself, then writes a care plan that tells the caregiver exactly how your loved one prefers to be helped. The nurse trains the caregiver on that plan and revisits it regularly. Because every client’s needs are different, there is no one-size-fits-all checklist. Frequently asked questions

Are your caregivers CNAs?

Many are certified nursing assistants, and all complete our training in safe transfers, personal hygiene and infection control before their first shift. Every caregiver is supervised by our registered nurse. Read about the difference between a caregiver, a CNA and an RN.

My mother is embarrassed about needing help bathing. How do you handle that?

Gently and privately. We match caregivers thoughtfully, keep the same caregiver on the schedule, and follow the routine and preferences your mother sets. Most clients relax within the first few visits.

Can you help someone who uses a wheelchair or a Hoyer lift?

Yes. Our nurse assesses the equipment and transfer needs at the first visit and trains the caregiver on the safest technique for your home.

How quickly can personal care start?

Usually within 24 to 48 hours of the nurse visit.
