Respite Care for Family Caregivers in Greenville & Spartanburg, SC

Caring for a parent or spouse at home is an act of love, and it is also exhausting. Respite care gives family caregivers in Greenville and Spartanburg a dependable break: a screened, trained caregiver takes over for an afternoon, an overnight, a weekend or a two-week vacation, following a care plan written by our registered nurse so nothing is missed while you are away.

Call (864) 777-0035 to set up respite care, including short-notice and one-time visits.

Respite care options

  • Weekly scheduled relief: the same caregiver, the same afternoon each week, so you can plan your own appointments and rest.
  • Overnight respite: an awake caregiver so you can finally sleep.
  • Weekend and vacation coverage: around-the-clock care for several days or weeks.
  • Emergency respite: when the family caregiver is sick or hospitalized, we can often start within 24 hours.
  • Respite for dementia and ALS: caregivers trained for complex needs, with the nurse on call.

What happens during a respite visit

Everything you normally do. Our caregiver follows the routine the nurse documented at the first visit: meals, medication reminders, bathing and dressing, mobility help, favorite activities and bedtime. You get a summary of how the visit went, and the nurse is a phone call away for anything unexpected.
